Why Travel Insurance Matters
Even the best-planned trips can face the unexpected — a delayed flight, lost luggage, or a last-minute illness. A good policy covers trip cancellation or interruption, flight delays and missed connections, lost or delayed baggage, medical care or evacuation while abroad, and 24/7 emergency assistance.
Having a policy in place ensures that if something goes wrong, you’re not left facing the financial impact alone.
What to Know Before You Buy
- You can buy travel insurance up to 48 hours before departure, but late policies will not cover pre-existing conditions or “cancel for any reason”
- Guests with pre-existing conditions must purchase within 14 days of their first trip payment to have those conditions covered, and they must add the Cancel for Any Reason rider
