Your stay at Pacifica is all-inclusive, and gratuities are not required. That said, many guests choose to leave tips as a way to recognize great service.
You may tip in two ways:
-
Add to your room: When dining or ordering drinks, you’ll scan your room bracelet, and you can choose to add a gratuity. The amount will be billed to your room and settled at checkout.
-
Cash tips: Guests also often tip in cash, using either U.S. dollars (small bills like $1s and $5s are best) or pesos. Pesos are often more convenient for staff, since they don’t need to be exchanged. Tip: ATMs in Cabo dispense pesos at the local exchange rate, which can make your tips go a little further.
We do not provide set rules for how much to tip, since this is a personal decision based on your preferences and the service you receive. However, many guests find it helpful to have a general guide when planning:
-
Housekeeping: $2–$5 per day
-
Bartenders: $1–$2 per round (or 10–15% on a tab)
-
Restaurants: 15–20% if not already included (buffet: $2–$3 per person)
-
Bellhop: $1–$2 per bag
-
Pool/Beach attendants: $2–$5 depending on service
-
Concierge/Special help: $5–$10
-
Spa: 15–20% of service price
-
Butlers (for suites & butler rooms): $10–$15 per day, or a larger amount at the end of your stay, depending on the level of service.
At the end of the day, tipping is never required—but it is always appreciated and can make a meaningful difference for the staff who help make your stay memorable.
