Is the beach at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica swimmable?

No, swimming is not allowed at the beach directly in front of Pueblo Bonito Pacifica due to strong currents, powerful shore breaks, and dangerous rip tides. While the beach is stunning and perfect for walking, photography, and relaxing, it is not safe for swimming or wading.

Why Can’t You Swim at Pacifica’s Beach?

The beach at Pacifica faces the open Pacific Ocean, which is known for:

  • Strong, unpredictable undercurrents

  • Powerful waves and shore breaks

  • Steep ocean floor drop-offs

These conditions create a serious risk, even for experienced swimmers. For your safety, entering the ocean is strictly prohibited.

Where Can I Swim in the Ocean Safely?

Guests staying at Pacifica have full access to two nearby sister resorts located on Medano Beach, one of Cabo’s most popular and safest swimmable beaches:

These resorts offer direct beach access with calmer waters, lifeguard presence, and safe conditions for swimming, paddleboarding, and more.

How Do I Get There?

To access Medano Beach and the sister resorts:

  1. Take the shuttle from Pacifica to Sunset Beach.

  2. From Sunset, there is a shuttle that runs hourly to both Blanco and Rosé, which are located on Medano Beach.

  3. You can set up your shuttle service by speaking with the Pacifica concierge, your butler, or the bell desk at the front of the hotel.

  4. Shuttles run all day and are included as part of your resort privileges.

Tip: Shuttle availability may be affected by peak hours. Plan ahead if you’re heading out during high-traffic times.
