Beginning July 2025, the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico (which includes Cabo San Lucas) is implementing a nightly tourist tax for all hotel stays.
This tax is not included in your Getaway purchase. The amount is approximately $4.50 USD per room, per night, and it will be automatically added to your hotel bill and collected at checkout by the resort.
No action is needed in advance—just be aware that this small government-mandated tax will appear on your final bill at the end of your stay.
