Saving your progress — Save & Exit, Continue, and Skip Step

You don't have to fill out everything in one sitting. Three buttons appear at the bottom of every step in the guest-info dialogue, and they behave differently. Knowing which one does what is the single most important thing to understand before you start entering info — because one of them doesn't save.

How do I save my progress?

Three buttons appear at the bottom of every step:

  • Save & Exit — saves what's on the current page and closes the dialogue.
  • Continue — saves what's on the current page and moves to the next step.
  • Skip Step — does NOT save anything on the current page; moves to the next step.

Closing the dialogue with the X in the corner also saves what you've typed on the current page — it behaves the same as Save & Exit.

The only way to lose what you've entered is Skip Step — that one is intentional, and only there for cases where you genuinely don't have the info yet and want to come back later.

What does "Skip Step" actually do?

It moves you to the next step without saving anything on the current one. Use it when you don't have the info yet — for example, if a guest's passport hasn't arrived. If you want to save what you've typed, click Continue instead, not Skip Step.

I filled out info but it didn't save — what happened?

The most likely culprit is Skip Step — that button moves you forward without saving. Save & Exit, Continue, and even closing the dialogue with the X all save your work. If something disappeared and you're sure you didn't hit Skip Step, re-enter the info and click Save & Exit or Continue, and reach out via Need Help? if it keeps happening.

Do I have to do everything in one sitting?

No. Click Save & Exit on any step and come back anytime. Your saved work is preserved.

Can I edit info after marking a section complete?

Yes — until the lock-out date. Open the reservation, click into the Complete-your-reservation dialogue (or the relevant pill), make your changes, and save. Sections aren't locked just because they're marked complete.

(There's a hard lock 30 days before your trip — see the article on the 30-day lock for the details.)

With the saving rules clear, the next article walks through the first two steps of the dialogue: Personal Info and Address.
